Finding Strength & Flexibility Boston’s Story

I am Boston Migneault a track and cross-country athlete who competes at the national level. My passion for competition began at the age of 10 and will continue until I graduate from high school. My injuries began to occur more often as I ran and I had no clue as to why or how to treat them. Those reasons led me to begin training with this program. This program began during spring break, and I believe it has improved my runner skills as well as made me a stronger and more flexible athlete. I learned from this program that proper nutrition and a high water intake are crucial to my health. Learning new exercises and spending time learning them can make it so easy to understand the correct form. A major lesson I have learned from this program is the importance of being flexible in all areas of my body, not just my legs.

Finding Sustainable Weight Loss Michelle’s Story

You can always re-invent yourself. For years I was overweight, out-of-shape. With three children and a full time career as a manager career, I was exhausted. I attempted numerous times to focus on my health and fitness. Generally that was joining a gym and never going or starting a diet, losing weight and gaining it right back within a year. At 58, I was exhausted and carrying an extra 40 pounds was having a major impact on my body and health.

As I approach retirement, I spent time contemplating what I wanted to focus on. I realized through self reflection and reading that our inner voice, those unspoken whispers have a profound effect on how you define yourself. At that time, I believed, unconsciously, that I was overweight and unhealthy and would never change. I questioned these beliefs and made a decision to try to change "who" I was. Over the first year I focused on losing weight and started walking. After the weight loss, I then moved to physical fitness. I tried a few gyms and trainers until I found the right trainer for me. I realized the right trainer for me was someone who would approach from a wellness prospective including flexibility, strength, posture, nutrition and mental health.
